Your Smartphone Can Now Be A Polaroid Camera

January 27, 2015 – A San Francisco-based company has just revealed a new Prynt device that attaches to smartphones to allow users to print screen-sized pictures.

The device, set to arrive this summer takes about 30 seconds from click to print, giving smartphone users an instant physical copy of their digital pictures, like a Polaroid camera would. It also allows users to print pictures saved on their phone’s camera roll.

The device uses special paper with embedded ink so that users don’t have to worry about ink cartridges. The case holds 10 sheets of paper at a time. More paper can be ordered through Prynt’s app. The case is available in blue and white and comes with leather grips the company promises are “animal friendly.”

The device will supportĀ the iPhone 5/s/c/6 and the Samsung Galaxy S4/S5 and will retail for $99 U.S. It’s set to hit stores this summer.
